Hi, I'm Jon White. I'm a young independent filmmaker.

This is where I'm going to put my thoughts so they're safe.

Look after them please.
Tunstall Pool. This is the second idea I’ve been exploring, primarily because, as I’ve just been through my airport idea has been pretty much shot down.
This next idea I’m looking at could be much easier, as it’s very local. Just up the road in Tunstall is one of the oldest public swimming pools in the country, and despite serving over 300,000 people last year the local council is seriously considering closing it down because of the cost incurred in restoring the building.
The architecture of the building, although not mind boggling, is interesting as it’s exposed rafters and clear influence from the structure of Roman baths make it one of the more interesting and minimalist pools around.
My intentions would be to interview people involved in the protests, and those who care most about the location - subtitling the piece with their comments, and using ambient and serene sounds to really bring the place to life on film. I’m in contact with Stoke-On-Trent’s press officer right now, and hopefully close to getting clearance to film there in the next 2-3 weeks.

It’s always good with people standing up for their own culture! And a film is always a good idea! Make it short, and...
